Horse training
John helps horses with problems such as aggressive behaviour (bargy), biting, kicking, napping, aversion to shoeing and clipping, first halter training, foal handling, starting youngsters, riding away, loading and traffic phobias, remedial horses, sanctuary horses and ponies, nervous, or untouched or traumatised horses. He also works with bucking and rearing horses, although pain as a trigger has to be eliminated before any training can start.
The horse training courses ensure:
- all horses take part in a lot of groundwork, as problems can start from the ground
- horses can be ridden Western or English
John is an inspirational teacher and helps people and horses to improve their confidence and skills. There have been many success stories even when John is sometimes a last place of call for both owner and horse.
For help with your horse, you should come to the training yard at Old Shawls Farm, as John feels it’s important you are involved.
